Most parts are oem directly off the original lasalle. Majority of any wear is on the hidden edges where two pieces make contact with each other.
I think that is only fair. Shipping is based solely on dimensions of packed item buyers zip code. Both interior and exterior are no less than 85 immaculate.
I am sure my photos will best further describe this item. Just recently, I sold a gorgeous grille.
I do not and am totally against profiting on shipping. That adhesive cushioning also served the function of a buffer as well when horn was pressed I think. If you held up to the light though may see transparent scuffs scratches.
Originally, there was a thick black adhesive that held both pieces together in 3 spots.
There are other parts listed right now. The button has absolutely zero cracks chips. Many of the items I sell are vintage, so it is sometimes impractical to describe every flaw and imperfection, but will try give most accurate can.
The chrome finish is at least 70 pristine. There was nobody who had a better collection of show quality lasses and other Cadillac's than him.
The shorter amount of time it is in postal system, better chance will arrive safely. I am getting all of them from the son original owner who passed a couple years ago.
I see a part of on the metal ring. The owner made sure he had triplet's of most parts which is amazing.
Overall and especially for being 75 years old, this original oem part is in very good condition.

For sale is a vintage 1941 Cadillac lasalle steering wheel horn cap button and chrome ring which held the attached to itself. This one though is the less expensive because of chrome.
I have these attached together temporarily with simple tape to basically show how it is supposed look.
Maybe Lucite. The outer width of chromed ring is I highly suggest you choose expedited shipping on fragile items. I know for a fact that human hands have not touched these 20 years.
The chrome metal horn ring has zero dents dings rust. The surface is at least 80 pristine.
I pack each item as if it is the holy grail but accidents do happen from time. The pits haven't opened up yet and are just raised textured at this stage.
As you can see there is signs of pitting beginning to happen. My photos are an accurate depiction of this items true condition. By immaculate I mean if it can be cleaned, has been cleaned. At the time of this listing I actually have two identical sets these.

The button itself measures just shy of 4 across and seems to be made a heavy thick acrylic some sort. Theres no reason for that.
