That is to say the space between horn ring spoke and recess on steering wheel was excessive. These horn rings didn look good and if the spoke was depressed until it bottomed out on steering wheel, would crack ring index. Correct in every detail, reproduction for a proper fit.
This Falcon Sprint 3 spoke horn ring is an excellent concourse. First to reproduce the mustang horn rings in mid 80s PC research and development uncovered a flaw many, but not all of original. Special note: does not fit with 1965 Falcon Sprint steering wheel or the standard. Die cast construction that features premium show quality chrome plating with painted Falcon Sprint lettering and a acrylic emblem.
So when PC reverse engineered this part and the die to make it, we made spokes straight fit factory steering wheel,s horn rings are a perfect. We found that some of the horn rings had one, if not all, spokes curved outward and away from steering wheel excessively. Other manufacturers, when reverse engineering the part, seem to have copied a bent and distorted original fit an wheel poorly. A good die maker would look at this condition and could determine that was caused by the part sticking in one side of causing to bend distort as opening ejected.
