Details:
The case and bolts holding it together are in very good condition. It weighs pounds before packaging. The name Sparton is stamped into the flat end of the housing or casing, but is difficult to read.
The test was a quick touch. The wording stamped beneath each screw on the back is unreadable due to the paint and surface wear. One noticeable dent on the trumpet that may be able to be removed and one on the motor casing as shown. An antique Sparton brand automotive horn assembly that was tested with a 12 volt tractor battery and growled.
It would most likely fit other brands other than just Fords. Was told when purchased that it came off of a model a Ford many years ago and stored. The mounting bracket and bolt is in excellent condition.
Sold as is and as described. In diameter across the bell of the horn. One wire was missing when found.
The rotor was oiled and spins freely. Long x 5 in. Solid with no rust damage beyond light old pitting below the paint. The brushes look very good.
Overall it is 10 in.
